Still a day behind!

Yes, I'm still a day behind which means I am late in wishing my niece Trish a very happy birthday. Trish is the daughter of my big brother Sonny and my late SIL Mary and mother of the very adorable Maddie! Happy Birthday darlin!
I've gotten to do a little sewing this week. I made myself a new screen bag with some of the new fabrics I picked up on Saturday so here's a pic of the new purse plus some of the other fabrics that will eventually also be purses that I hope to put up on my web site to sell.
Just about the only other thing I have done this week is stuff for the kids teachers at school. Today I went in and decorated the bulletin board for Nathaniel's class. The only thing the teacher gave me to work with was some pinwheels that the kids had made so I made them into flowers with other silk flowers along side them and a few butterflies and then some fall leaves. His teacher wasn't in today (jury duty) so I hope she'll like it when she comes back. The only thing that isn't done on it is the "Title" which she has so I guess that'll be done tomorrow when I go back in to help out in the science lab and finish up the tracing work I'm doing for Julianne's teacher.
Physical therapy is coming along well. If you were to see me now, you almost wouldn't notice anything wrong. I still know and if you really look closely you'll see that the right side of my face still droops a bit and my smile is not yet full but I'm getting there. I've got another couple of weeks of PT so I should be back to what passes for normal any time now. As it turns out, one of my torturers, err therapists daughter is also in the 3rd grade at Quest Elem and I think our girls actually know each other. It's pretty cool, as I am starting to meet people ~ it's becoming a "small" world ~ a community. This one knows that one who knows this one. It's the one thing I haven't been fond of here and I guess it's the same any time you move ~ I don't like feeling like an outsider. But now that the kids are in school and I'm spending more time there and getting out to other places I'm starting to meet people ~ nice people and hopefully they'll be friend people soon!
I've been very lucky to have such a great group of friends that have really become family but you all are spread out everywhere ~ North Carolina, Oregon, California ~ and all over Florida ~ anywhere but here. I'm not complaining ~ just glad to know you are all out there somewhere and we've managed to stay in touch. It's the calls and emails from all of you that help make my days bright ~ so, how was your day?
