Everything to me

My friend Sue in Jacksonville has been telling me about this song for a little while now. She called me today when it came on the radio so I could listen to it since it's typically played on Christian Radio stations. OMG ~ talk about a tear jerking beautiful song. It's about adoption from the adoptee's point of view. Being the computer savvy genius that I am I went to YouTube and found the video. Since most of our lives have been touched in some way by adoption I dare you to watch this without crying.

Thanks again to Sue for telling me about this. Most special thanks to Julianne's birthmom (wherever she may be) and even more to Angie (who I love so much). Both of these women gave me the most precious gifts in the world.
And to my Jennifer, the child I actually gave birth to and her wonderful husband Jeremy who I love as my own, and all my unofficially adopted kids Paul, Alex & even Mayla ~ you are all precious gifts to me and I love you so very much. Love, Mommie

Having lived through this, I am thankful every night when I kiss my babies good night that we have a wonderful person like Angie in our lives.

We weren't too keen on this whole open adoption thing when we started - you fear what you don't understand - but for us, it couldn't have turned out better. She's part of our family and always will be, and we love her to death.

Likewise, we've accreted this really interesting extended family - mostly Barb's fault, 'cause she ignores that advice about strays and feeds 'em! - but it's all good. We love 'em all.

In the end, the quality of your life is not measured by your possessions but rather by the people in your life.
