Wednesday morning I met with the owners of the quilt shop that I was going to work for. I didn't post about it, but decided against working there. It seemed to be more about selling $12,000 sewing machines and less about helping the customers and working with fabric. Well, I guess they really wanted me there so I've worked out a compromise. I will work on an "as needed" basis but never past 3:00 in the afternoon so I don't have to put the kids in afterschool care and I WILL NOT sell machines but free someone else up to do that. I will still have the freedom to come and go as I need but yet still be involved in the store. I think it's a win/win there.
Thursday was "Meet the teacher" night at school. LOVE Nate's teachers and they love him. I'm thinking it's going to be a good year for him. Julianne's teacher is fine. She likes the "warm & fuzzy" teachers and this isn't one of them, but she does seem very nice. Friday was a day to swap the kids. Nate had a sleepover at his friends' house and Julianne had a friend spend the night here. So, you loose one, you gain one.
I did get some sewing done this week. I made these can/bottle cozies for a certain gator fan I know.

I also finished up this sample for the shop.

I've got a new project to work on for them and I'll be sure to post pics when it's done.
Also ran into this guy ~ quite literally

I'm looking forward to an extra day with my darling husband and kidlets today. Nate has soccer practice this morning but other than a dip in the pool we have no special plans. Happy labor day everyone!

I keep falling off the face of the earth myself....you are way better at keeping up than I am though! School started here too..and even though I have one in HS and one at home 'doing online college' it has still been a hustle! The older they get the harder to get a routine!
You have been busy! I've been terrible about posting to my blog too. I have lots to share but not enough time to sit and post.
I hope it works out with the quilt shop. They'll be lucky to have you!
Exactly WHAT kind of bird is that? :)
