Skulls are so "in"

I have to say ~ school clothes shopping for the kids this year... I've never seen so many clothes, backpacks, lunchboxes, notebooks, etc. with skulls on them. They've taken on a whole new life with this generation. Apparently they are all the rage with the tween idols as well as the older celebrity set. Not that it influences me but the kids are another story. It makes it harder to hold your ground when they are everywhere. We did limit the skulls to a shirt/skirt for Julianne DSC03665and Nate got a skull t-shirt, shorts and his backpack has a very small one on it. DSC03664 He wasn't keen on having his picture taken but that never stopped me before. Not sure if you can tell in this picture but his shorts have little tiny skull & crossbones embroidered all over them. I thought it was a bit much but what do I know, I'm old!

You are right, skulls are everywhere, even in toddler clothing. Luckily, we get to pass up on this "trend", because even if Maddie has a desire to wear clothing with skulls, she doesn't know how to insist upon it! But, I do have to say that I think Julianne's outfit is super cute & I love the skirt! Nathaniel's outfit is really cool too, I love the shorts!

Skulls really are in! Even little kids and baby clothes have skulls on them. I'm generally not a huge skull fan but I made one for Nature girl this summer. When it comes to skulls I prefer the girly looking pink skulls.

Well, when you think about it--at least it's an inner body part, not an outer body part! *tee hee*

Ah they are cute!! My oldest is already "done" with them and the middle one doesn't like them.

Hmmm... no skulls at our house but one 12 yo boy who doesn't like having his photo taken!

My teenage boys have no interest in skulls, but I love the whole theme, and I'm glad the designers are doing girly versions - I think it's a fun and kicky design!
