up bringing Sarah home with us. Sarah showed Julianne how to curl her hair and while I was a bit skeptical cause the girl has stick straight hair and the couple of times she's had it curled for weddings, it was uncurled pretty fast. They used those spongy pink curlers that have been around for ever and it turned out really cute.

Speaking of Julz ~ She and I made her a purse/wallet/tissue holder combo. She picked out the fabrics (I added the red for some punch) and we kinda sewed it together. She stepped on the petal while I (sitting next to her on the side of the machine) fed the stuff through. Talk about tricky! Actually she fed some of it through but she still gets a bit nervous. I think it all turned out very cute.

I also made this grab & go bag for a swap I'm doing on a yahoo group.

I've started using jars for my buttons and separating them by color

Well back to the sewing room for me. I'm doing a new purse for Jen to match the dress she got to wear to her graduation. Wish me luck!

Julz 'set' is adorable! and so are her curls! I tried to make the grab bag and my mind went wonky...so I baggied it and will try again another day...yours are sa-weet.
I always follow Bella around ... HA!! Yep, Julz' set is adorable, and so is your grab 'n go! Your swap partner will be thrilled, I'm sure :)
Cracks me up that your daughter is always trying to curl her hair or make it wavy and my oldest is always trying to make hers straight!
those curls are cute! Brie, my oldest, also has that stick straight hair that doesn't curl. Those spongy curlers are the only thing that does it for her too - though it still doesn't last all that long.
I love the buttons! Ever since I was a little kid, I've been fascinated by buttons. Not sure why...
Cute curls, cute bag...all too cute! :)
Barb - - we gotta talk. Oh My Word, even thought I'm a big-ol'Southern boy, I've got some fabulous ideas for her hair.
I've not a clue about the bags, but let's talk about Southern hair.
Email me if you'd like to talk. I sure would.
Julianne did a great job on her set and her hair. Very cute! How much fun was it to sew with your daughter?!!! I've just started hand stitching with my daughter and I'm thrilled to have a little crafting buddy. Your grab and go bag turned out great! I have my buttons in a couple of big tins. I have to dig through to get what I want. My daughter loves this and has to choose a couple for herself each time the tins come out!
