Cooking with the Hubster

From the time we moved in together (yes, we were living in sin!) Richard and I have loved cooking together. Nothing better on the weekend than the two of us in the kitchen coming up with something good to eat. (well there may be one thing that's better but hey, this is a family friendly blog) We work well together. We don't get in each other's way and we have fun.

It's been a while since we have done that (after 23 yrs go figure) but last night we made Italian Sausage Stromboli together and not only did it taste fantastic, we had fun doing it.

First of all, I need to give credit where credit is due. Christy of Mamarazzi has some amazing recipes on her blog. I actually just came across her blog yesterday ~ she reeled me in with The Best Guacamole Ever post (which I'm hoping to make this weekend) and now I'm hooked. Make sure you check her out.... not only does she have some fantastic recipes, she's got some really great photos too!

Anyway, back to me, after all this IS my blog! Just kidding (sort of).
While I'm not giving away the recipe (you'll have to check out Christy's post for that), here are a few shots of Richard making one of the Stromboli.  Mine is the one already done on the left.  The only change we made to the recipe was to sprinkle a little garlic salt on top before we baked it and I also made some dipping sauce to go along with it.  We had one for dinner last night (it easily fed the 4 of us) and we still have one left over to snack on this weekend.

And here are a couple of pics of the finished product ~ Not only does it look good, it smells great and tastes FANTASTIC!!!  A great big thanks to Christy for this amazing recipe.

Thank you! Isn't that the friggin best? I just made that stromboli recently. I have to say, your uncooked stromboli looked better in pictures than mine did.
