So ever since I saw "Psycho" when I was younger I have this weird thing about taking a shower when I am alone in the house.
Not only do all the doors to the outside have to be locked, the bedroom and then the bathroom door have to be locked as well.
Even then, I inevitably hear some kind of noise and am sure there is some psycho killer in my house just waiting to stab me.
I'll just bet I'm not alone in this either ~ just wondering how many of you will fess up.
Anyway, this morning I wasn't really feeling well and had an appointment to see the doctor so I didn't really have time or the inclination, being sick and living in a 3 story house with outside entrances on the bottom two floors, to do my normal door lock check.
I jumped in the shower (okay, crawled) and then got out, dressed and headed downstairs and out the door.
Imagine how pleased I was to find that my son, who was the last one to leave this morning, didn't lock either lock on the front door!
Can't believe I am still alive and able to blog about this. Of course it helps that I live in a really safe neighborhood but still ~
I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED, Y'ALL!

I'm glad you weren't killed, Y'ALL!!! ;)
My fess up: I sleep on my side (I alternate all night long between left and right side - so peaceful - NOT!) and I can't sleep unless my back, when facing away from the bed, is covered with a sheet or blanket. If it isn't covered, someone will stab it with a knife (what's with redheads and being stabbed?!). If it's covered, it's safe from the knife! Yep - it makes about as much sense as it sounds like it makes, but nope, I won't change, and I won't sleep with my back unprotected, LOL!
Ok... When I am asleep on my side, ALL of my extremities HAVE to be on the bed. If even a finger tip is hanging off someone WILL eat my hand off!! :-)
While I don't think of Psycho, I DO have to have ALL the doors and windows locked before I shower! I'll fess up :)
cracking up! I am the SAME WAY!
Inevitably, once in the shower, the dogs go on a freaking screaming barking rage..which leads me to the assumption that the knife wielding loon will be at my door in a moment...but so far, I too have made it out alive!!!
I love your photo...how funny!
On a side note, did you know that Janet Leigh said she never took a shower again? she only took tubbies after making that movie.
Shades of Janet Leigh! C-r-e-e-e-a-k!! How do you feel about flocks of The Birds?
