Seems I have been sewing non stop for the last 3 or 4 weeks. In that time I broke the needle threader on my machine and my light bulb burned out ~ but I carried on without them. Now that the baby showers and birthdays are done I have ordered the new parts for my machine and am giving it a rest until they arrive. I really need to take it in to get it serviced but the closest dealer is in Daytona Beach which has been overtaken first by bike week and now spring break. I think I'll wait till the craziness is over for that.
I can show you some of the stuff I've been doing... Most of it has been for the baby's room.
I did the crib quilt, the cafe curtain, the diaper box and the lamp shade. There is also a pillow that you can't see and I forgot to take pics of. Here's a closeup pic of the quilt ~ I really need to find a better way to photograph these things!
Oh and here's a close up of the box
I also made the puppy mobile by taking apart and existing mobile and using little stuffed puppies that Jen found.
These were the gifts for the first shower and then for the second shower I did her diaper bag and also gave her the embroidered minkee quilt that I made a few years ago. It was made as a shop sample but on the condition that I get it back because it was a ton of work and not something I'd ever do again. I always knew that it would go to Jen when the time was right. I'll have to get pics next time I go up there cause in all the chaos I completely forgot.
I have lots more to show you but this post is long enough... more next time ~ non baby related!
