Night of the Arts

Way back when I told you about this "little" event I was planning for the school called "Night of the Arts." DSC07703 Well I pulled it off and it was a success! The best part was we had literally hundreds of people show up. The worst part was having to make a speech in front of all those hundreds of people ~ especially after the wonderful introduction from the principal.
We kicked off the night with a performance by the chorus DSC07672 Had a dozen vendors selling their wares DSC07697 Story telling in the library DSC07721 Gift wrapping by the 6th graders DSC07712 The Make it and Take it craft tables were a big hit DSC07718 Coffee and Hot Chocolate provided by Starbucks filled our donations jar DSC07676 Bake Sale was HUGE. We got in more baked goods than I could have imagined DSC07675 Pizza, we ordered too many and didn't advertise enough since it was a last minute addition to the roster DSC07678
Kids art work was the hit of the night DSC07674 Here are my kids helping get everything framed beforehand DSC07669
And finally ~ Just needed to show off the wonderful display rack my darling husband made me for my pillows and purses DSC07667 I actually could have used two but what didn't fit on the rack was displayed on a table.
Most of the vendors did well. I did a couple of hundred dollars so I was a happy camper. Might have to look into doing some other craft fairs down the road.
Anyway... It went well... I'm glad it's over. There is some talk about when I do this again next year ~ WHOAH ~ who said I'm doing this again????
